Working in collaboration with UNCA, media and technology specialists presented to incoming teachers. We provided training and guidance to student teachers regarding how technology is impacting education. We share experiences, tools, and advice with new teachers to help them develop strategies and lessons using technology and media. We also shared best practices and practical insight in the use of technology in the classroom.
At community forums and parent orientations we communicated the state of technology in education and on our campuses. We provided parents and community stakeholders with information regarding the use of technology on our campus and offer suggestions as to monitoring the use of technology at home.
Parents are in need of a great deal of guidance with their children regarding technology. Media Specialists and Technology Facilitators help parents and community members make informed decisions regarding technology and their children. We provide guidance on topics that range from social media to human sexuality. We work with parents and community members to help bring understanding to the changes technology is making in our culture.
